Free Veteran’s Recording classes

The New Mexico Music Awards with support from New Mexico Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts is offering a five week basic recording class for veterans who are interested in learning the technical aspects of recording music and other audio. The class begins on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 and continues each Wednesday at 2:00 PM until Wednesday, May 16th.
The class will be taught by Grammy Award winning engineer J. Douglas Geist at his Santa Fe Center Studios in Albuquerque. The studio has hosted such luminaries as Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg and Cynthia Clawson and worked on television and movie projects including the USA networks “In Plain Sight” and the Academy Award winning film, “The Revenant”
This class is open to all veterans regardless of service and free, but class size is limited and attendees must register online at nmmaworkshops@gmail.com by Tuesday, April 17th.
