An important message concerning the COVID 19 virus.

An important message from the New Mexico Music Awards.

With the COVID 19 (Corona) virus protocols that have been put in place by the governor Lujan-Grisham, we are moving cautiously forward with our awards program for 2020. Right now, we are continuing toward the scheduled date of Sunday, May 17th, 2020, still two months away. We have met with the venue staff at Sandia Resort & Casino to discuss other options should they become necessary, like postponing the event to a later date.

We will delay ticket sales for the event until April once we see how the next few weeks shape up and we understand that some of you may want to err on the side of caution and decide not to attend the event. Should it become necessary to move the event to a later date, we will post that date as soon as possible.

Should the event be cancelled, we will still announce winners and provide trophies to the winners. We will announce finalists in April as the judging is already taking place.

The New Mexico Music Awards also understands how the current pandemic affects those in the music industry. Tourism may be own because of this health crisis and as such, so may also your revenues. We will always do our best to promote your live performances, your CD release events and more though our social media and our websites. We are here to assist in every way possible during this uncertain time.
