They formed in 2009 from the remains of several successful local ska and reggae bands, including Giant Steps, Sub Agencia, Danny Winn and the Earthlings, Cool Runnins, Beat Fetish, and others. They are currently performing locally and regionally to a discriminating and loyal following.  The Blue Hornets sound is a blend of influences, which includes early Jamaican ska, reggae and rocksteady, British two-tone ska, and American jazz and swing. Voice & Piano Soul, Pop
An accomplished singer, songwriter and performer, Delphia has shared the stage with legendary performers including Leon Russell and Wishbone Ash to contemporary artists including Melody Gardot and has toured extensively throughout the US.

Her powerful, yet sometimes edgy vocals are a combination of Fiona Apple, Dusty Springfield, and Judy Garland. Flowing between the genres of alternative, pop, jazz, blues, soul and gospel with a modern flare, Delphia ties her work together by the common thread of her powerful, cathartic vocals, a pension for lush harmonies and ensembles, and lyrics that reveal the desperate emotions that make her vulnerability all the more believable. Her show has been described as ‘an intense introspective journey dealing with acceptance and rejection, transfixed by a backdrop of incredible vocals and well thought out arrangements

In one year since returning to the stage, Delphia has organized one of New Mexico’s most exciting and talented full-sized bands led by Delphia on piano and vocals, followed by a guitar, saxophone, and drum and bass rhythm section, accented with harmonies, keyboard, Hammond B3 organ, and a live string section. She has performed for the National Dance Institute, the New Mexico Music Commission’s Platinum Music Awards, Route 66 Summerfest, New Mexico Jazz Workshop’s ‘Ladies Sing the Blues,’ taken the main stage at the New Mexico State Fair, headlined the New Mexico Philharmonic’s Annual Gala, and sold-out her first performance at the Outpost Performance Space in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition, she has sold more than 1100 pre-orders for her upcoming album ‘Moonlight’ being recorded in 2018 with four-time Grammy Award winning producer Larry Klein.
